Requirement
Kuranga Native Nursery, Australia's largest native nursery, faced the challenge of repositioning its brand under new ownership. The goal was to communicate more than just plants, highlighting an on-site cafe, a gift shop, and rich heritage for ambitious growth plans.
Response
To address Kuranga's need for a comprehensive rebrand, we revamped its visual identity, storytelling, messaging, and tagline. A bespoke display font was meticulously created, connecting all aspects of the business. The rebrand included a new website, photography, and videography assets that elevated Kuranga’s legacy for the next generation of plant enthusiasts.
Outcome
The custom font, recognised with prestigious awards in Australian Design Awards and Melbourne Driven by Design competitions, played a key role in menus, plant tags, and wayfinding. The brand illustration in the Gift Shop, inspired by native plants, added distinctiveness. Photography and videography assets effectively showcased Kuranga's uniqueness. With a revamped website prioritising user experience and SEO, the rebrand not only positioned Kuranga as an immersive destination but also earned accolades, making it a standout experience for plant lovers, foodies, and culture enthusiasts.
